KEEN
Founded in Portland, Oregon in 2003, KEEN made its name with the Newport, a hybrid sandal shoe built around a distinctive rubber toe guard that blended protection with the freedom of a sandal. The brand has built its outdoor footwear and apparel around that same idea ever since: comfortable, durable gear that holds up outside.
Sustainability runs through how KEEN builds its shoes: outsoles made with agricultural waste, webbing from post consumer plastic bottles, and PFAS free construction across the line since 2018. The brand backs its products with a "care and repair" philosophy, treating durability itself as the most sustainable choice, and publishes its supply chain transparency and impact reporting publicly.
