SMITH OPTICS
Smith Optics started on a mountain in the mid-1960s, when orthodontist and skier Dr. Bob Smith, frustrated by fogged-up goggles, used dental tools, glue, and foam to build the first anti-fog, double-lens snow goggle, patented in 1966 after testing runs at Alta. That problem-solving heritage now shapes the brand's lifestyle eyewear, sunglasses built with the same attention to optical performance, including proprietary ChromaPop lens technology, backed by more than 50 utility patents across the wider Smith range.
